The name Panigha originates from Sanskrit and refers to a person who creates handicrafts. It is more than an ethical and sustainable brand is a movement to support and promote handmade, started as a good-hearted initiative by Mrs. Saraswati Naidu, a handicraft enthusiast, in 2017, to revive the slowly fading away age old Indian Handicrafts and thus support the artisans behind them. In 2019, her daughter Ms. Vinita, an experienced textile designer joined the team.
